Be sure to read Fr Stephen's post at Glory to God for all things. You'll see the link on this page. His posts are always worth reading and pondering, but this is one that is exceptional!
I turn pens and other items on a wood lathe, and they are for sale! They make great gifts -- one of a kind and specially turned from various woods, they are prized by many. I also turn other items -- pepper mills, salt and pepper shakers, ice cream scoops (handles are turned), combination screwdrivers (handles are turned), and other items.
Scrollwork is also one of my joys: I've done boxes, toys, name trains, pencil boxes, ornaments .. and the list goes on.
Larger items crafted include a display case, a candlabra, and a stand for the lamps carried by our altar boys, fine boxes and other items.

Books for Sale
From my years as a Lutheran pastor, I still have a goodly number of titles that might be of interest to someone. Included are a number of "Festschrifts," collections of essays written in honor of various people, two titles of the recently published Concordia Commentary series, and other titles, including some older titles no longer in print. A book list with suggested prices is available. If you know of someone who might be interested in some or all of what is left, contact me via the email address in my profile.
Born and raised a Lutheran, I came home to Orthodoxy after 33 years as a Lutheran Pastor. I now pursue my avocation of woodworking and am active at Sts Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Swansea, IL
